Liberty Village Farmers' Market and Warehouse Sales

Lots going on in the Liberty neighbourhood these days.

First, they’re inaugurating a farmers' market every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., beginning May 27 and running until the end of October. About 40 Ontario Greenbelt farmers will be setting up shop at the Green P parking lot at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Liberty Street. There’ll be an official launch party on Sunday, June 10.

Also, the neighbourhood’s soul as a warehouse district lives on, with lots of warehouse and sample sales coming up over the next few weeks:

Lovely person and sensational designer Arthur Mendonça (whose Spring 07 collection is pictured above) is holding an overstock and sample sale with discounts from 75% to 90% (very exciting!) on Thursday, May 24 from 4 to 8 p.m. at 219 Dufferin Street, Suite 112C (south entrance). Payment can be by cash, cheque, Visa or MasterCard, but all sales are final.

Check out No Regrets Restaurant (42 Mowat Avenue, 416-535-0050) for a sale of clothing, bags and accessories by LRG, Soul Edge & redSOUL and REDTANGO on Thursday, May 24 from 5 to 9 p.m., Friday, May 25 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, May 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Montreal streetwear company Point Zero, my fave hatters Big It Up and Raisins (could that be the California swimwear company?) are holding a sample sale at Point Zero (99 Atlantic Avenue, Suite 100) on Wednesday and Thursday, May 30 and 31 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., plus Friday, June 1 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (cash only).

Finally, In Accessories jewellery (99 Atlantic Avenue, Suite 205, 416-516-4661) is holding their own warehouse sale of new jewellery designs, semi-precious stones, Swarovski crystals, sterling silver, 14 karat gold and gold vermeil from Wednesday, June 6 to Saturday, June 9. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. Payment is cash only, for purchases under $100; Visa or MasterCard for purchases over $100.
